RECAP: 2015 Bay Area Primary Care Leadership and Innovation Summit

We had a stunning turnout at our Bay Area Primary Care Leadership and Innovation Summit, an interdisciplinary, interprofessional day sponsored by UCSF and the Primary Care Leadership Academy, the Division of General Medical Disciplines at Stanford, and Primary Care Progress. The event featured many FCM faculty, residents, alumni and affiliates.

The engaged, creative and collaborative crowd of 200+ came from places as far away as Hawaii and Boston, representing nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, family doctors, pediatricians, internists, and students from all those disciplines in addition to clinical administrators, program directors, medical assistants, and leaders from business, engineering and community organizations. Front and center at the conference, both physically and philosophically, were patient and family advocates. Everyone participated in sharing ideas, building trust and forming community. Clearly, there is an appetite for change, innovation, and collaboration. We will build on this success to inspire action and forge solutions. #BayAreaPC
